The soul is often observed as serving as an attachment to oneself, one that is not physical but spiritual.
While a significant number of people believe one can live on past their death, it is not the living soul that remains amongst the living but rather the deceased soul.
The deceased soul is essentially separate from the soul acknowledged in life as it carries on past life and into life after death; its existence relies on the intent to achieve desires which were not fulfilled by its possessor during their existence.
It depends what you mean by reality. I believe the soul is a form of energy. Energy cannot be destroyed so it must stay in existence. I think when we die our souls and minds become one. In this new form we gain the ability to travel to diffrent demensions of reality that is all around us, but we just can't sense it yet.
I would have to come to the conclusion that our souls are still existent after we are dead. The reason being people have seen ghosts at certain times, which could be classified as a persons soul instead of a ghost. When we die our souls could possibly be entering another dimension like zoro said. The only way we can know for sure is when we die.
I think the soul is everlasting- the soul will never die. Once we die our physical body dies and our soul goes wherever it came from. I believe then we are given another task we must do, so then The Supmreme being sends us to another place maybe back here on Earth maybe another world who knows but our soul is never going to die.
I agree with Ryan, that this question depends on whether a person is religious or not. Perhaps it also depends on what religion one follows. So soul exists for those who believe in God but doesn't for those who don't believe in God.
According to my religious belief, there is a soul that exists in reality.
I believe the soul is the spirit of a person.
For me, I think that the soul is released if the life lead by the person was happy and satisfactory. This concept in my mind exists somewhat like a pathway to enlightenment. However, I believe if a body dies when the soul wasn't happy or satisfied with the life, then the process of reincarnation takes place. I think that the soul would undergo rebirth several times until it finds enlightenment.
To further add to my previous post, religious persons believe the soul fulfills an act not intended to be carried out for one in life.
Believing there is an afterlife and that judgement day will occur, one likely understands the soul to be their true essence that will face such judgement.
I believe that when we die, our soul leaves our body and begins it's journey to the afterlife. As a Muslim, I believe that the angel of death comes to you when it is your time to die and takes your soul out of your physical body. I believe that that every creature's soul will face judgment for their actions one day. The soul definitely does go to another world.
That begs the question if we even have a soul. Most religious/spiritual people believe we do, most other people don't. However, based on all religions, every one believing in some kind of a soul, when we die our soul transcends this natural world into a supernatural world. These worlds may be different, but they are both included in reality.
But what is a soul? It is our eternal essence, our identity. A soul cannot die, but lives forever.
But what if we don't have a soul? Then there is no God and when we die, that's it.
Then, how do you know you have a soul? If we didn't have a soul then atheists would have a lot of explaining to do. If mindless evolution can create intelligent life, then our morals, emotion, conscience, will, passion (basically everything that defines a soul), would come from mindless matter. Therefore so too can computers spawn all these things, both being merely physical intelligence. However, this would be absurd to suggest, the difference between computers and humans; we have a soul, they do not.
as a christian i believe that after death our soul will either be sent to heaven or hell. So if someone how our physical and internal part of our body id in fact dead, i believe our soul will still be alive.Does our soul stay within the area of our reality? No i do not think so, the purpose of after life is for our soul to be united into the place we are destined to go. our soul couldn't be able to be apart of reality because or body would be dead. Maybe our soul can visit reality bu i don't think it cam live om reality based on the fact that our body has already once been kept locked up in reality.

The soul is something supernatural to me, the reason we have emotions, act in certain ways, like certain thing, its our spirit and what lives on and goes to heaven ( if you are religious ). I believe that the soul passes on to the next life and leaves the earth when we die, unless our souls are not at rest, that is why we see strange things and feel people's presence.
I believe you can only be in reality when you’re alive so if you are dead your soul goes along with you. You soul can’t stay in reality on its own without its body. Having a soul is what makes a human being a human being but once the body is not living anymore the soul cannot exist on its own.
